Chestatee Golf Course
The course at Chestatee is known for its challenging and unique design, as each hole has been carefully routed to take maximum advantage of the mountainous terrain while least disturbing the environment. Players consistently comment on the "fast" condition of the greens.
The first hole sets the tone for the round; the elevated tee on the dogleg right Par 5 plays to a comfortable landing area where a well-placed shot challenging the corner may allow the opportunity to go for the green in two. Most players will find the well-protected green better reached in the regulation three shots by avoiding undue risk. Chestatee's signature Hole, #17, offers a beautiful, scenic view of the Chestatee River before it meets Lake Lanier, while Hole #8 has been dubbed one of the most challenging Par 4s in the state.
